With this application process, it is possible to decorate plastic products and parts with multi-coloured prints in a single, one-step process.
The pattern printed on the base layer of the hot stamping foil is transferred to the substrate by heat and pressure, in its original form. Apart from realising the special texture of the direct print on the surface of the substrate, it also becomes possible to express complex multi-coloured and fine prints which are traditionally difficult to align with standard printing technologies.
Silkscreen Transfer Foil: This multi-coloured transfer foil is created with a roll screen printing process.
More than ten colours can be printed, in layers, on top of one another.
As this foil is based on silkscreen printing techniques, it is possible to also adjust the thickness and opacity of the colour layers or to realise prints with brilliant colours and strong contrasts.
Production in small lots is also available.
Gravure Printing Transfer Foil: This multi-coloured transfer foil is created with a gravure printing process. Accordingly, it is suitable for printing pictures and patterns as well as gradations in line with the CMYK colour model (4-colour specification). By combining aluminium vacuum vapour-deposition and etching techniques, it is also possible to create a metallic lustre on particular parts of the surface.
Digital Transfer Foil: This multi-coloured transfer foil is created with a special digital printing process. Since this printing technique is based on digital data, no printing plate is necessary and initial costs of the print can therefore be decreased accordingly. Fine designs and patterns as well as gradations in accordance with the CMYK model can be expressed.
